1. Product Introduction
The Foton Cummins injector solenoid cap is a protective and functional component used in the common rail diesel fuel injectors fitted on Foton trucks and buses with Cummins engines (often ISF2.8, ISF3.8, ISF4.5, etc.).
Location: It sits on top of the injector’s solenoid assembly (the electronic coil that opens/closes the injector).
Function: Protects the solenoid coil and its wiring from fuel leakage, dirt, moisture, and vibration. Provides a sealed cover for the electrical connection (where the injector harness plugs in).Ensures the solenoid operates at the correct magnetic field strength, as even a small gap or contamination can cause injection timing/pressure errors.
Material: Usually made of high-speed steel.
It is often sold separately as a repair part for Cummins/Foton common rail injectors.
